MaST Telescope

The telescope is housed on the roof of our “Red Building,” and serves a variety of science classes and our Astronomy Club. The telescope is an amazing experience for all, so much so, that MaST has not only heard “WOW” from the students who have operated it, but also from parents on our “Night Under the Stars.”  MaST invited families to this special event, where students and their parents could participate in viewing the eclipse.  That night, the slots for attendance were filled to capacity and students and parents ventured up to the dome, in 10-minute intervals to experience this great learning tool.  Amazingly, you can see into the Comcast Center located in downtown Philadelphia, while literally viewing their employees working on the upper floors of the building, sitting at their desks. The intricacies are unreal.  The range and reality of this tool allows MaST an exceptional fortune because not one other K-12 school in PA has this type of learning instrument for their science program.
