The High School Robotics Program begins with foundational lessons on programming and the construction of robots. Students collaborate to engineer, build, and program robotic devices throughout the semester to complete specific tasks.

Available Courses:

Robotics I

Students will learn about programming and building robots to make them perform certain tasks. During the first half of the semester, students will be responsible for learning and mastering the programming language, ROBOTc. This language is closely related to other popular C-Based programming languages, making learning this code very worthwhile for any aspiring programmer. During the second half of the semester, students will be responsible for working with the vex hardware to see if their programming knowledge works.

 Robotics II

Students will learn about working with the vex hardware to see if their programming knowledge can be applied from Robotics 1. They will also learn advanced engineering techniques and apply science, math and communication skills to a collaborative group to compete at the end of the semester in a competition.
Prerequisite: Robotics II
