The Young Author’s Tea Celebration is a wonderful part of our students’ Third Grade experience in which they become an author and illustrator. In their success, they realize that some things are not instantaneous, but are worth the effort and hard work. Students invited parents and staff members to the classroom to listen to their stories.
On Friday, May 23rd, the MaST Folk Ensemble hosted a celebratory end-of-the-year breakfast. This included students in grades six through twelve under the direction of Mrs. Ehrlich. Students enjoyed a breakfast provided by Village Catering on the Mezzanine level of our school MPR and enjoyed a visit from MaST alumni, Bryan Lavelle, who is currently studying classical guitar at Widener University.
Today Mr. McDonagh educated and entertained Kindergarten and First Grade with his amazing display of bugs, reptiles and amphibians. The children learned so much about exoskeletons, adaptations, and food habits. There was much bravery, laughter and good fun petting Sid, the Boa Constrictor!
The First Graders honored all the hard work their mothers do for them by having a special Mother’s Day Tea. The children learned “Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You” and “You Are My Sunshine” to sing to their moms. They also showcased some original work they completed on their newly acquired iPads.

Mr. Trichon’s 6th grade class, teamed up with Mrs. Callahan’s first grade class to plant lettuce and onions in the MaST garden. The kids had a great time learning about the different type of plants that are in the garden. We also saw some frogs and talked about agriculture. The two classes are planning to get together again to see how the vegetables are doing. They had a great time!
